On Constitution Day, Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:45 pm at the San Rafael Public Library, 1100 E Street, San Rafael, California 94901, I will be HANDWRITING THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES. With 20 copies of the Constitution and pens and paper to share, you and your friends are welcome to join me. I was inspired by an article in the New York Times about Morgan O'Hara who started the project earlier this year. For more information about the national project, visit handwritingtheconsitution.com
My first series of clothing as paper collages finished off with machine sewing. Each image is about 7 x 7 inches.
Celloland’s Mark Summer and Ken Cook held a jazz improvisation workshop for El Sistema students in late October at Club Español de La Plata just outside Buenos Aires. In between each of the three workshops everyone spent time drinking maté and talking about Chacareras and Zambas and Miles Davis and Coltrane, the Blues and learning new words and phrases "como las dicen Los Porteños." Thanks so much to Jonathan Miranda Figueroa and El Sistema of Argentina for making this run so smoothly.
